Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Manchester
Job Type: Long-Term, Full-Time 

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Manchester for a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education (RE) Teacher. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity ideal for a committed educator looking to inspire students and contribute to a supportive humanities department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Uphold school policies on behaviour and safeguarding
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (Humanities/RE or related subject)
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
  • Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
