Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher – Secondary School

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Manchester for a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education (RE) Teacher. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity ideal for a committed educator looking to inspire students and contribute to a supportive humanities department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Uphold school policies on behaviour and safeguarding
- Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (Humanities/RE or related subject)
- A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
