Job Title: SEMH Teacher

Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are recruiting a skilled and compassionate SEMH Teacher to work within schools in Dinnington (S25). This role is suited to a dedicated Teacher (SEMH) who can deliver meaningful learning experiences while supporting pupils with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs, helping students re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment. The successful Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties Teacher will play a pivotal role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and positive interventions
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and support teams
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, consistent, and resilient teaching approach
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
