An SEMH school in Enfield is looking for a strong SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs.

This is a hands-on SEMH role working with students who require structure, consistency, and confident SEMH behaviour support to access education.

What you’ll be doing

• 1:1 and small group SEMH support
• Managing SEMH behaviour using de-escalation techniques
• Keeping pupils with SEMH needs engaged and on task
• Supporting during lessons and unstructured time in an SEMH setting
• Building strong, professional relationships with SEMH pupils

What they need

• Experience working within an SEMH school or supporting SEMH / challenging behaviour
• Team Teach highly desirable for SEMH environments
• Other behaviour training considered (MAPA / restraint / de-escalation) within SEMH settings
• Calm, confident and resilient approach to SEMH behaviour
• Strong presence and consistency in an SEMH classroom
