Role: Care Worker Supporting Mental Health
Location: Rotherham
Pay: £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
Are you a Care Worker with experience supporting mental health who wants to make a difference in a school setting?
GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Worker to support Mental Health in schools across Rotherham. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Care Worker who is passionate about supporting young people with emotional and mental health needs.
As a Care Worker, you will work closely with students who may require additional support with behaviour, emotions, daily routines & mental health. The successful Candidatewill provide consistent care, build strong relationships, and help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Care Worker supporting students with SEMH needs & their Mental Health
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist students with emotional regulation and behaviour
- Support daily routines and engagement in school activities
- Act as a positive role model and trusted adult
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Care Worker, Support Worker, or similar role
- Understanding of mental health and behaviour support
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
