Role: Mental Health Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay: £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school in Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Mental Health TA who is committed to helping students overcome barriers and succeed in their education.
In this role, you will support pupils who may experience anxiety, emotional challenges, or behavioural difficulties. The successful Mental Health Teaching Assistant will provide consistent support, build positive relationships, and help students feel safe and understood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEMH needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Help students manage emotions and behaviour
- Support engagement in lessons and daily school routines
- Act as a positive role model and trusted adult
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, support worker, or similar role
- Understanding of mental health and behaviour support strategies
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
