Role: Youth Worker – SEMH School
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay: £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
Are you a Youth Worker who can support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
GSL Education are looking for a committed and resilient Youth Worker to work in an SEMH school in Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate Youth Worker who wants to make a real difference in young people’s lives.
In this role, you will support students who may struggle with behaviour, emotions, and engagement in school. The successful Youth Worker will build strong relationships, provide consistent support, and help students feel safe and understood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Youth Worker supporting students with SEMH needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Help students manage behaviour and emotions
- Encourage positive engagement in learning
- Act as a role model and trusted adult
- Work closely with teachers and support staff
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Youth Worker, support worker, or similar role
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
