Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: York
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support schools across York.

Schools within this academy trust provide a nurturing and structured learning environment where support staff play a vital role in pupil progress. Staff teams work closely together to ensure high-quality teaching and targeted intervention support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
- Support small group and intervention work
- Provide targeted academic support
- Assist with classroom management and lesson preparation
- Support pupils with additional needs
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience
- Experience within a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to lead learning activities confidently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
