Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are hiring a nurturing and reliable Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough.
This role involves supporting young children in KS1, including personal care duties such as changing nappies. You will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, develop, and feel confident.
Key Responsibilities of the KS1 TA:
- Provide Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
- Support Early Development: Help students develop basic literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Deliver 1:1 and Small Group Support: Work with children who need additional help to stay on track.
- Personal Care: Support children with personal care needs, including changing nappies where required.
- Encourage Positive Behaviour: Promote a caring and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with Daily Routines: Help manage transitions, activities, and classroom organisation.
Requirements of the KS1 Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS1.
- Comfortable carrying out personal care duties, including changing nappies.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- An updated CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
