Job Title: Early years practitioner
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support young children at the very start of their learning journey by providing high-quality care, encouragement, and a safe, nurturing environment!
GSL Education are seeking a motivated and caring Early Years Practitioner to join a setting in Middlesbrough. This role involves supporting children in their early development, including personal care, while promoting learning through play and structured activities.
Main Responsibilities of Early Years Practitioner (EYP):
- Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for young children.
- Support learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
- Assist with personal care, including nappy changing and hygiene routines.
- Encourage social, emotional, and physical development.
- Work closely with staff and parents to support each child’s progress.
- Follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times.
Requirements of Early Years Practitioner:
- Experience working within an early years or childcare setting.
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
