Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs?
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Middlesbrough. This is a rewarding opportunity for a committed TA to support students with additional needs, including personal care such as nappy changing, while helping them feel safe, valued, and engaged in their learning.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom. The successful candidate will be patient, professional, and confident in delivering personal care with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in lessons as a classroom Teaching Assistant
- Provide personal care, including nappy changing, in a respectful and safe manner
- Work with students on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Assist with learning activities and classroom tasks
- Help promote positive behaviour and student engagement
- Support students’ independence, confidence, and wellbeing
- Assist teachers with classroom preparation and supervision
Requirements:
- L3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs
- Comfortable providing personal care, including nappy changing
- A patient, caring, and professional approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
