Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant

Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)

One of our partnership schools is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to work within their dedicated 2-year-old provision across Middlesbrough. This role involves supporting very young children at a crucial stage of their early development, helping to create a safe, stimulating, changing nappies and caring environment where they can explore, learn, and grow.
The successful Nursery TA will assist with daily routines, support early learning activities, and encourage social, emotional, and communication development through play-based learning. You will work closely with experienced staff to ensure each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
Key Duties of Nursery TA:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging early years activities.
- Work closely with children aged 2–4, supporting their learning and development.
- Get involved in play-based learning, including sitting and engaging with children on the carpet.
- Provide personal care, including changing nappies when required.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment.
- Observe and support children’s progress, sharing feedback with staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a nursery or early years setting.
- A caring, patient, and hands-on approach.
- Willingness to support with personal care, including nappy changing.
- Ability to engage actively with children at their level.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
