Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Sheffield (S25)
Salary: £110 per day

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and proactive Behaviour Support Workers to work in a school in Sheffield (S25).
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping students manage their behaviour, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive coping strategies. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with SEMH experience who are passionate about supporting students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Worker:
- Provide one-to-one support for students with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Support students in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Assist the teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
- Implement behaviour support plans and intervention strategies
- Build strong, positive relationships to encourage student engagement
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and social development
- Monitor and record behaviour and progress, reporting to staff
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured learning environment
Requirements of a Behaviour Support Worker:
- Experience working with SEMH challenging behaviour in education, care, or youth settings is essential.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
