Make a Real Difference – Support Learners as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Doncaster (DN2)!

Salary: £105 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school setting in the DN2 area of Doncaster. If you’re passionate about helping children with special educational needs succeed, this is your chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

Your Role as SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or medical needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and ensuring inclusive classroom practice.
  • Foster positive relationships to help students feel safe, understood, and supported.
  • Collaborate closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Support the creation of an engaging, nurturing, and accessible learning environment.

What You’ll Need as an SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar).
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice (desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support (advantageous but not essential).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
