Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Doncaster, DN6
Salary: £105 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive school in the Doncaster DN6 area. This fulfilling role involves supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and a range of learning needs to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant Will Include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs.
- Supporting the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.
- Creating an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assisting with personal care or mobility needs where required.
- Encouraging pupils’ independence, confidence, and social development.
What We’re Looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Knowledge of inclusive education and behaviour support strategies.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
