Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Worksop (S81)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teachers to work in schools across Worksop (S81).

As a Geography Teacher, you will create engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper awareness of global issues. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering high-quality Geography lessons and supporting students in developing a strong understanding of physical and human geography.

Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, preparing students for assessments and examinations
  • Encourage students to develop analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
  • Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
  • Support students’ academic and personal development

Geography Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Geography in a school setting is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
