Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop (S81)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant ready to support students and make a positive impact in the classroom?
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Worksop (S81).
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide additional support to pupils, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and learning resources
- Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support classroom behaviour management in line with school policies
- Assist students with their learning activities and academic tasks
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student progress
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A patient, supportive, and positive approach to working with students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
