Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long-term / Full-time (5 days per week required)
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and creative English Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality English lessons and inspiring students to develop strong communication skills, a love of literature, and confidence in their written and spoken expression.
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, support pupils of varying abilities, and contribute to a positive, motivating school environment where every learner can thrive academically and personally.
Your Role as an English Teacher Will Include:
- Delivering well-planned, inspiring English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assessing student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and the wider school team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — essential.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
- A passion for English literature, language, and creating engaging learning experiences.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Availability to work full-time, 5 days per week.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
