Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Do you enjoy teaching Science and inspiring students to explore the world through curiosity and discovery?
GSL Education are searching for a knowledgeable Science Teacher to work with schools in Sheffield, including the S11 area, delivering engaging lessons across key scientific disciplines.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of biology, chemistry, and physics, while encouraging critical thinking, experimentation, and a passion for science in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Duties:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach a range of topics across biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Encourage practical investigation and scientific enquiry.
- Maintain a safe and well-managed laboratory or classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a Science Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
