Job Title: RE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from a dedicated RE Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S5, S9). This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, reflection, and respect for diverse perspectives.

As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will help pupils understand religious concepts, ethical dilemmas, and cultural contexts while fostering thoughtful discussion and enquiry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons as an RE Teacher.
  • Encourage pupils to explore different religions, ethics, and worldviews.
  • Promote discussion, critical thinking, and respectful debate.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • An engaging, patient, and inspiring teaching approach.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
