Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Help students explore the world, understand environments, and develop critical thinking through engaging Geography lessons!

GSL Education are searching for a passionate Geography Teacher to join schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering lessons that inspire curiosity about people, places, and the planet.

In this role, you will plan and deliver structured Geography lessons, supporting pupils in understanding physical and human geography, map skills, and environmental issues within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of Geography Teacher:

  • Deliver well-prepared Geography lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Encourage enquiry, research, and analytical thinking
  • Support pupils in developing map and data interpretation skills
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and an organised learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements of Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Geography in a school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
