Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Inspire pupils to develop digital skills, computational thinking, and problem-solving through engaging Computer Science lessons!
GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate Computer Science Teacher to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.
As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will deliver lessons that encourage pupils to understand programming, algorithms, and computing concepts, preparing them for academic and career success in the digital world.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Teach programming, algorithms, hardware, and software concepts effectively.
- Support pupils in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a Computer Science Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Passion for inspiring pupils and fostering digital literacy.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
