Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from an enthusiastic Drama Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a fantastic opportunity to engage pupils in the performing arts while building their confidence, communication, and teamwork skills.

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver dynamic and imaginative lessons that encourage pupils to explore acting, improvisation, script work, and stagecraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons as a Drama Teacher.
  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression through performance.
  • Support pupils in developing acting, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to school productions and extracurricular drama activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A creative, energetic, and motivating teaching approach.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
