Science Teacher
Location: Lewisham
Salary: £165 - £265 per day
Start Date: After Easter Break
Contract: Long Term, Part Time (Monday to Wednesday)

GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced Science Teacher to join a welcoming co-educational secondary school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher who enjoys inspiring young minds and delivering engaging lessons.

As a Science Teacher, you will be working with students across Key Stages, helping them to build confidence and achieve strong academic results. The school is supportive, well-resourced, and values the contribution of every Science Teacher.

We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and strong subject knowledge into the classroom. This Science Teacher role is ideal for someone looking for a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Science Teacher
  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Work closely with other staff and support the Science department
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience working as a Science Teacher
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
  • A passion for teaching and supporting student progress
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
