Maths Teacher
Location: Lewisham
Salary: £165 - £265 per day
Start Date: After Easter Break
Contract: Long Term
GSL Education London Branch are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join a welcoming co-educational secondary school in Lewisham. This is a great role for a dedicated Maths Teacher who enjoys inspiring young minds and making maths engaging and accessible for all students.
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential in mathematics. The school is supportive, well-resourced, and values the contribution of every Maths Teacher in creating a positive learning environment.
We are looking for a committed Maths Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons and support students across different ability levels. This Maths Teacher role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and ready to make a real impact.
Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and the Head of Department
- Prepare students for exams and support their academic development
Requirements for the Maths Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working as a Maths Teacher in a secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
- Good classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
