We are currently seeking an Out-of-School Practitioner to provide cover in a friendly, well-established childcare setting in Chelmsford. This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and enjoys being part of a team.
The Role
This role involves supporting children before and after the school day in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Working Hours:
- Morning Shift: 7:00am – 9:00am
- Afternoon Shift: 2:45pm – 6:30pm
- Up to 27.5 hours per week
- Flexible working available – you do not need to commit to both shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with before and after school care routines
- Safely escorting children to and from school
- Planning and leading fun, engaging activities
- Supervising playtime and encouraging positive interaction
- Preparing and serving snacks/meals
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment (“clean as you go”)
- Following all safeguarding and child protection procedures
