Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £88.94 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term supply

If so, we at GSL Education Kent want to hear from you! We are currently seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Canterbury. This full-time role is available to start immediately. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be an integral part of the classroom, working alongside teachers to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
- Work closely with class teachers to deliver an engaging and inclusive primary curriculum.
- Lead 1:1 sessions or small group activities focused on literacy, numeracy, and social development.
- Assist in monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to teaching staff.
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to all school-wide safeguarding protocols.
In order to be considered for this Primary Teaching Assistant role, the candidate must:
- Have prior experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a related youth-support capacity.
- Demonstrate a sincere passion for helping young students grow both academically and personally.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a reliable, professional work ethic.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks.
- Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
