Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed English Teacher to join schools in Sheffield (S5, S9), delivering engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in language skills.

In this role, you will plan and deliver structured English lessons, supporting pupils in analysing texts, developing writing skills, and exploring language in an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of English Teacher:

  • Deliver well-prepared English lessons in line with curriculum expectations
  • Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Encourage analysis, discussion, and creative expression
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

Requirements of English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English in a school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
