Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Support to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Newcastle. Your Role as an SEN Support Assistant:
- Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either 1:1 or in small groups.
- Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting tasks where required.
- Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interactions.
- Help build pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support strategies.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (school, care, or community setting desirable).
- A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- A proactive attitude and the confidence to use your initiative.
- Understanding of SEN support strategies and behaviour management.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
