Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield - WF4
Salary: £460–£600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

You will work closely with teachers to support SEN students, helping them access lessons, build confidence, and develop independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN during lessons
  • Implement personalised learning strategies
  • Encourage engagement and independence
  • Monitor and report on progress
  • Support a positive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting SEN students desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
