Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham – S25
Salary: £460–£600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Do you have the patience and determination to support students through challenges? A Rotherham school is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to help students develop confidence and re-engage with education.

About the Role:
You will work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis, supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs in lessons
- Implement behaviour strategies and support plans
- Encourage independence and positive engagement
- Support emotional and social development
- Track and report student progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEMH or SEN students preferred
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships

- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
