Job Title: SEMH TA
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Payrate: £95-£115 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

Are you a compassionate and resilient SEMH TA who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?

Schools in Dinnington (S25) and GSL Education are hiring a motivated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to provide consistent academic and emotional support.

In this role, you will work closely with pupils who may struggle with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement in learning. You will help create a calm and structured environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group SEMH support.
  • Help students manage behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils during lessons and unstructured times.
  • Implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an SEMH TA or in a similar role.
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • A patient, calm, and resilient approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
