An SEMH school in Camden is looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH.

This is a hands-on role working with students who need structure, consistency and confident behaviour support to engage in education.

What you’ll be doing

  • 1:1 and small group support

  • Managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation

  • Keeping pupils engaged and on task

  • Supporting during lessons and unstructured time

  • Building strong, professional relationships

What they need

  • Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour

  • Team Teach highly desirable

  • Other behaviour training also considered (MAPA / restraint / de-escalation)

  • Calm, confident and resilient approach

  • Strong presence and consistency
