Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for committed Behaviour Support Staff to work in a specialist setting in Wakefield (WF4). This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced Behaviour Support Staff who can provide consistent guidance, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils stay engaged with their learning.
As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The successful Behaviour Support Staff will be patient, calm under pressure, and confident building strong relationships with young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide behaviour support to pupils during lessons and activities
- Work 1:1 and with small groups where needed
- Help students manage emotions and stay focused on learning
- Support teachers in maintaining a positive classroom environment
- Promote respect, structure, and positive behaviour strategies
- Act as a role model and trusted adult within the school
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
- Background in education, care, youth work, or support roles preferred
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
