RE Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £150 - £250 per day
Start Date: After Easter Break
Contract: Long Term until the summer break
Working Pattern: Part Time
Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2 – Tuesday and Thursday

GSL Education London Branch are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced RE Teacher to join a welcoming girls’ secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. This is a brilliant role for an enthusiastic RE Teacher who wants to inspire students and make a real difference in Religious Education.

As an Religious Education Teacher, you will be joining a supportive school community that values high-quality teaching and student achievement. The school is looking for a dedicated RE Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and encourage students to think critically and respectfully about different beliefs and values.

This RE Teacher role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a diverse environment and is committed to helping students succeed. The successful RE Teacher will play an important role in the department and wider school life.

Responsibilities of the RE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4

  • Encourage discussion, critical thinking, and respect for different beliefs

  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Follow school policies on behaviour and safeguarding

Requirements for the RE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience working as an RE Teacher in secondary schools

  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education

  • Good classroom management skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons for mixed-ability students

  • A passion for education and student development
