Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460–£600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students manage emotions, stay engaged in lessons, and make progress both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:

Support students with SEMH needs during lessons and activities

Implement behaviour and learning strategies set by teaching staff

Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and trust

Support emotional regulation and personal development

Monitor and report on student progress
Requirements:

Experience working with SEMH or SEN students desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patient, empathetic, and resilient

Ability to adapt to individual student needs
To work with GSL Education as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK

Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years

Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
