Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

Do you love sparking curiosity and helping students understand how the world works? A Barnsley school is looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to bring energy and creativity into the classroom.

About the Role:
You will deliver engaging science lessons, helping students develop analytical thinking, investigative skills, and confidence in the subject.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver science lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Encourage curiosity through practical and theoretical learning

  • Assess and monitor student progress

  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting desirable

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Passion for inspiring students in science
