Primary Teacher
Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: April 2026
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to work within a specialist setting in York.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH. The school focuses on creating a nurturing and structured environment where pupils can develop both academically and socially. Staff work closely together to provide tailored support and ensure every child is able to access learning in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs

Support pupils’ social and emotional development

Monitor and assess pupil progress

Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN teams
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience in primary or SEN/SEMH settings preferred

Strong classroom management skills

Patient, resilient and supportive approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
