Job Title: RE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated RE Teacher to join a supportive school in Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated teacher to engage students, encourage thoughtful discussion, and make Religious Education both meaningful and enjoyable.
As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, support students of all abilities, and work closely with colleagues to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential. The successful candidate will be confident, approachable, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons to school students
- Support students’ learning both individually and in small groups
- Encourage critical thinking and respectful discussion on moral and ethical topics
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Promote positive behaviour and student engagement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching resources
- Contribute to school activities, assemblies, or enrichment sessions
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching RE at secondary level
- Ability to inspire and engage students across different abilities
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
