Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support students in exploring historical events and developing critical thinking skills through engaging and well-structured lessons!
GSL Education are hiring a knowledgeable History Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The History Teacher will deliver lessons that encourage enquiry, analysis, and a deeper understanding of past events and their impact on the present.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver history lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Encourage discussion, source analysis, and independent thinking.
- Support students of all abilities through differentiated teaching.
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements of History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching history in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
