Payrate: £100+ per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from a dedicated Pastoral Assistant to work in a school based in Rotherham (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and overall school experience.

As a Pastoral Assistant, you will work closely with pastoral leads, teachers, and support staff to provide guidance and support to pupils who may need additional help in managing behaviour, attendance, or emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support to pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Support pupils with behaviour, attendance, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing as a Pastoral Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a pastoral or support role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and wellbeing practices.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
