Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Newcastle.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly using the materials provided.
Your Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes across different subjects during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students in completing their classwork and learning activities
- Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons
- Report any behavioural issues or concerns to relevant staff
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Confidence in managing a classroom environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
- A flexible and proactive approach to working in schools
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
