Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Newcastle.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, work closely with students to enhance their learning, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources
- Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons
- Support classroom behaviour management in line with school policies
- Help students with their academic tasks and learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student progress
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, or related fields preferred)
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
