Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking motivated and supportive Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield (S5, S9).
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to support classroom learning, assist students who need additional help, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and learning resources
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons
- Support classroom organisation and behaviour management in line with school policies
- Assist students with their academic tasks and learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support student progress
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A patient, supportive, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A commitment to supporting students’ learning and development
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
