Job Title: Pastoral Lead
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and proactive Pastoral Lead to work in schools across Sheffield (S5, S9).
As a Pastoral Lead, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting students facing barriers to learning, and working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
Main Responsibilities of a Pastoral Lead:
- Lead and manage pastoral support for students, promoting wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Support pupils who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
- Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to address barriers to learning
- Implement behaviour support strategies and monitor student progress
- Support safeguarding procedures and report concerns where necessary
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student development
- Monitor attendance and support strategies to improve student engagement
- Provide guidance and support to staff on behaviour and pastoral matters
Requirements of a Pastoral Lead:
- Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour support, or student support role within schools
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- A calm, resilient, and supportive approach when managing challenging situations
- A strong understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding practices
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
