Student Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

This Student Teaching Assistant role is ideal for university students, recent college leavers, or individuals looking to gain practical school-based experience before progressing into a career in education.
The successful Student Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom and help create a positive learning environment. As a Student Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support, work with pupils in small groups and help maintain pupil engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities of the Student Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.

Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.

Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Student Teaching Assistant Will:

Be interested in gaining experience within education.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic.

Be confident working with children or young people.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
