Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

A welcoming secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching and looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will assist with classroom learning, provide small group support and help pupils remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects.

Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.

Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant Will:

Hold a degree in any subject area.

Be interested in pursuing a career in education.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
