Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to thrive academically and personally!

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher to work in schools in the WF4 area of Wakefield.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons and interventions that help pupils develop coping strategies, resilience, and positive behaviour, while supporting their academic progress.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons and interventions for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviours.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and teaching staff.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements of SEMH Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEMH pupils in a school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
