Job Title: Pastoral Manager
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support the wellbeing and development of students by leading pastoral care initiatives and fostering a safe, inclusive school environment!
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to join a school in Wakefield, covering the WF4 area. The Pastoral Manager will oversee student support systems, liaise with staff and families, and ensure students receive the guidance and care they need to thrive academically and personally.
Responsibilities of Pastoral Manager:
- Lead and manage the school’s pastoral care provision.
- Support students’ emotional, social, and behavioural development.
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to address student needs.
- Implement policies to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Monitor and report on student progress and pastoral interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience working in pastoral or student support roles within an educational setting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
