Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Provide dedicated support and help students reach their full potential through one-to-one guidance!
GSL Education are hiring a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), supporting individual students who require additional learning or behavioural support.
As 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with a student to provide personalised assistance, help with classroom tasks, and encourage engagement with learning in a supportive and structured environment.
Main Duties of 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with learning or behavioural needs
- Assist with classroom activities and tasks as directed by teaching staff
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Monitor progress and report observations to teaching staff
- Support the development of independence and confidence in the student
Candidate requirements
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to individual student needs and learning styles
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
