Payrate: £165-£200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are hiring an experienced SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in Rotherham, serving the S25 area. The Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher will work with pupils who experience social, emotional, and mental health challenges, delivering structured lessons while promoting stability, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Responsibilities of SEMH Teacher:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH.
- Build positive relationships that support emotional wellbeing and engagement.
- Implement behaviour strategies and maintain a calm, structured classroom.
- Work closely with pastoral staff and support teams.
- Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
